INTRODUCTION One of the
most intriguing studies in the Old Testament are those which are enshrouded with innumerable types and shadows. We find tremendous insights concerning the scriptures in the New Testament through revelation concerning what God
set forth as a pattern in the past. Great truths have been hidden within these beautiful typologies which spoke of the Son of God who was to come. Yet, these hidden things were not to remain a mystery forever, rather
they were to be revealed to a generation of people called by His name. To behold Jesus and the work which was wrought through His life, death, burial and resurrection through the Old Testament patterns is indeed a
beautiful wonder which grips the heart of those who seek His face. Truths which were hidden from the heart through the law, yet revealed to the heart through grace. To multitudes, the Tabernacle of the Congregation in
the Wilderness was just a tent; the High Priest's Garments were nothing more than fabric; the Offerings nothing more than sacrifices; and the Feasts were nothing more than times of remembrance and celebration for a people of former
times. After the children of Israel were delivered out of the land of Egypt, God revealed to Moses that he desired to tabernacle himself in the midst of His people. He gave them instruction in regards to building the
Tabernacle of the Congregation in the Wilderness, the Garments for the Priesthood, the Offerings, and the Feasts. He told Moses to make everything according to the pattern. According to all that I show thee, after the pattern
of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. Exodus 25:9 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was showed thee in the mount. Exodus 25:40 And thou
shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty. And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that
he may minister unto me in the priest's office. Exodus 28:2-3 THE PRIESTLY PROGRESSION Our journey begins with the book of Genesis where we find that each person served as their own priest. All were to bring their own offerings and sacrifices before the Lord.
In the book of Exodus while the children of Israel were in Egypt, the head of each family served as Priest for his entire household. But God's ultimate desire was for the nation of Israel to be a nation of priests, and He
spoke to Moses and said: "Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests,
and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him. And
all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people
may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their
clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai." Exo. 19:5-11 It was God's desire to communicate with each person and have a relationship with them. Even after the fall of Adam, God's desire never changed. Through the fall however, man
in his own heart felt condemned and alienated from God so he fled and hid from His presence. If we look at the scripture closely we find that the LORD God was calling to Adam for fellowship. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God
walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he
said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not
eat? Genesis 3:7-11 The knowledge of His nakedness was not given to Adam by God. We can plainly see that God inquired as to "WHO TOLD THEE THAT
THOU WAS NAKED"!Again, in Exodus 20:18-21, God came down and began to speak with the people, but they became frightened and withdrew from the Lord and pleaded with Moses to talk to God FOR them. And so God began to
instruct Moses anew and gave to him the pattern for the Tabernacle, the feasts and offerings, and direction concerning the priesthood. Aaron and his descendants were to be the priests and all of the Levites outside the family
of Aaron were to be servants to the holy things of God. Num. 1:49-53 "Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel: But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the
tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the
tabernacle. And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. And the
children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts. But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath
upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony." We can see clearly the pattern that was being established and how it relates to us today. Aaron is a
typology of Jesus Christ, his five sons were types of the five-fold ministry, and the Levites are a picture of our deacons and elders that we have in the church today. (Note: all priests had to be Levites, but not all Levites
were priests. Now the order of priesthood was set, but there would come one who would be a priest for himself, his family, nation and the church (all peoples) and his name is JESUS! And today He is seated at the right
hand of the Father interceding for all the saints! QUALIFICATIONS Priests: These were to be Levites of the family of Aaron and their claim to office would be that of sonship and their duties were to minister
the holy things of God and worship Him. High Priest: There could only be one high priest at a time and from Aaron to Christ there were 80 that served. Aaron was the first High Priest and he was succeeded by his sons
and their descendant sons. Great High Priest: The Office of Great High Priest was one which would come much later and be established and filled by Jesus Christ. This priesthood was after the order of
Melchizedek and would not be inherited by birth nor would it be passed on. MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD Melchizedek is first seen in Gen. 14:18-20. He was the first King of Salem (Jerusalem) and the High Priest of El Elyon, the Most High God (Heb. 7:13). The name Melchizedek
means: King of righteousness, justice, righteous rule, righteous judgment. The nature of this priesthood was given 2000 years before it was established and 400 years before the Aaronic order was established. The significance
of the appearance of Melchizedek was not realized until it was uttered by David in Psalm 110:4.The Aaronic Priesthood was ordained and established by God, but it was ever changing being disrupted by death, and
therefore the priesthood was imperfect before God the Father. The Priesthood of Melchizedek was/is also ordained, but it was/is a never changing, never ending priesthood being perpetual in its nature with no beginning and no
ending. Jesus said in Rev. 1:8 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." The ministry of Jesus is everliving, all effacious, ever
present, and is an intercessory ministry for His own (John 17:1-22 and Heb. 7:24-25). The perfect priesthood that the Father desired could only come in the fullness of times according to John 17:1 & Gal.
4:4. The book of Hebrews graphically illustrates the shortcomings and failure of the Aaronic priesthood and establishes a picture of something of a higher order, one which would fulfill all requirements and establish a
ministry that would be complete and perfect in itself and would never pass away. A priesthood in which Jesus Christ would be proclaimed to be forever after the order of Melchizedek. And it is yet far more evident: for
that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life, For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of
Melchisedec. Heb. 7:15-17 The functions of that office, Aaron's priestly garments, and rituals were instructive concerning the person and the work of Jesus Christ. Although Jesus was the Great High Priest, He
executes His priestly ministry after the PATTERN of Aaron. In Hebrews 7 – the ORDER of the priesthood is expounded, and in Hebrews 9 – the PATTERN of the priesthood is expounded.
This priesthood was a ministry of:
(a) Prophet, Priest, & King (b) Unlimited, Eternal, Unchangeable (c) One Who's Source is an Endless Life (d) Universal (All men without prejudice)
(e) Springs from Judah (brings praise) (f) Brings perfection (g) Puts away the curse of sin, sickness, poverty, and death.
Consider the following points:
1. UNIQUE - One eternal, ever-living priest 2. UNIVERSAL - Existed before the Jew & Gentile became a separated people (all are one in Jesus Christ and there is neither Greek nor Jes
(Gal. 3:28 & Col. 3:11) 3. UNCHANGING - Both the priest and the ministry are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 7:11-25 & Heb. 13:8) 4. UNIFORM - Both Jesus and
Melchizedek had the same office and title - Priest of the Most High God and the King of Righteousness.
Melchizedek as the King of Peace met Abraham as he returned from war and brought him bread and wine. Jesus as our King of Peace has destroyed our enemies for us and He reigns as the King of Peace in our hearts
and has brought His gift of life through His blood (wine / Spirit) and His flesh (bread / life) – John 6 as both man and God. He has brought to us Himself and made us to be partakers of His divine nature.
CALLED Aaron & sons were called (Exo. 28:1) by God. When the people rebelled (Num. 16:41-50), God caused His rod (a branch of wood that had been cut away and was dead) to bud, thereby proving that his appointment was of
God (Num. 17:1-13). The rod was dead, but God gave it life (brought forth resurrection). Jesus was called (John 1:29); He was rejected (Mark 8:31 & Luke 17:25); He was dead and now He lives (Rom. 6:4):
(resurrection) Rom. 1:4, Rev. 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. We, as the body of Christ have been called (1Pet. 1:15
& 2:9); we have eternal life (John 3:16); We were / are buried and risen with Him (Col. 2: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised
him from the dead.) The grave cannot hold us (1Cor 15); We are joint heirs (Rom. 8:17); an eternal priesthood with Him (Rev. 1:6) & (Rev. 5:10). Our call today is to see men won to Christ and established in their
"most holy faith" through the unfolding of God's word and the encouragement of God's people to a deeper life of sanctification. CLEANSED Aaron and his sons had to be washed before going into the
Tabernacle. They were cleansed before the people by Moses, a type of Christ (Ex. 29:4 & Ezek. 36:25) type of regeneration. Jesus was sinless and didn't need cleansing, however, he was publicly baptized by
John (Matt. 3:13-17). According to the righteousness of the law, the lamb had to be washed before it could be sacrificed. He was the Word Incarnate. (John 12:1, 14) Public baptism for us is a
proclamation of calling into the Kingdom of God and a symbolic cleansing. Old things pass away and behold all things become as new (2Cor. 5:17). We are to be washed by the water of the Word (John 15:3 & Eph.
5:26). We are to be immersed in the Word for our own sanctification as well as equipping for ministry. Just as the priests of old and Jesus, we need to be baptized in water and take a public stand for God's Word. CLOTHED: Aaron and his sons were to be clothed (covered) in a particular way in order to administer the things of God. (Exo. 29:59). Jesus was covered and clothed by the Holy Ghost (John 1:33 &
John 3:34). He was fully equipped and covered for a complete and powerful ministry & service to both man and God. We also have been afforded the same privileges of ministry. We are clothed (covered) not only
with the blood of Jesus, but the very life of Jesus. "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ" Gal. 2:27. CONSECRATED: Sin Offering: A young bullock had to be used for
this offering. It had to be strong, vigorous, productive, and able to carry a load. They were used to give redemption and cleansing through the blood that was shed. We can easily see that this speaks of Jesus and
what He did for us. We as the priests of the Lord offer the blood of Jesus as we bring others into salvation. Burnt Offerings were always rams which were the animals of substitution.
The Ceremony: (and it's meanings) 1. Hands laid upon its head: Total commitment and identification
2. Cut in pieces: Everything was exposed to Moses and following this, the priests were then able to offer the burnt offering on behalf of others
3. Wash the inwards: Cleansing of the desires, aspirations, motives, etc. 4. Wash the legs: The walk, that which upholds
5. Put pieces with the head: Body (Us) with the Head (Jesus) 6. Whole Ram offered: Corporate commitment
(There were 2 Rams. One was for offering and the other was for consecration)
1. Consecration: (a) A Ram The Ceremony: Oil and blood were both used together to anoint the priests and it was sprinkled also on their garments (covering) and around the altar
(place of sacrifice and offering). Oil symbolized the Holy Spirit and the Anointing. Blood symbolized the Sacrifice and the Cleansing. The right side of the body of the priest
symbolized authority, divine government, and that which was right. Blood from the ram and anointing oil were applied to the right ear, right thumb, and right toe of the priests. The blood was applied to the ear for
the priests to have hearing ears, to be sensitive to the laws of God, and to hear the confessions of the people (not given over to gossip Isa. 54:6 & Psm. 40:6-8). It was applied to the right thumb was in
application to their service, work and ministry to do the bidding of God and the handling of the offerings for both God and the people (not for gold 1Tim. 6:18-19; 2Thess. 3:13; Col. 4:23; & Gal. 6:9). Blood was
applied to right toe for their walk. They were to be led by the Spirit and not move according to the dictates of their own hearts (not for gain – Rom. 8:14; Gal. 5:16; Eph. 4:1; & 1John2:6).
4. Unleavened Bread & Oil: These items represented the Word and the Holy Spirit (1Cor. 5:7-8) The Unleavened bread was made with wheat flour without leaven. The original condition
(identity) of the flour had to be sifted and ground up (changed) for the making of the bread. Through the new birth, sin is removed from us and our original condition is changed. We become one bread with Him and
sin is removed from us. 5. One Basket: One basket is important and relates to us that although we are many in the body of Christ, there is only one Church in the
earth. Jesus prayed in John 17 that we would all be one, just as He is one with the Father and with us. We have been destined to come into the unity of the faith and to be one body with Jesus the head (1Cor. 10:17 &
1Cor. 12:12). The priests were required to obey all the instructions of God and through the sacrifices they interceded between man and God. Today Jesus fulfills that function on our behalf. According to
Hebrews 7:25-26, "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate
from sinners, and made higher than the heavens". As the children of God, we too are ambassadors of reconciliation. The priests didn't have an earthly inheritance for Jehovah was their possession and their needs
were bountifully supplied through their brethren. (Note Judges 17 & 18: who demanded his salary and apparel, etc., until a 'larger church' opened to him). We are all High Priests. We are a royal priesthood and a holy
nation which has been set apart unto Him. No longer do we have to gaze from the outer courts, but we now have access through a new and living way (Jesus Christ) to enter the presence of our God and stand before the heavenly
throne…..Heb. 4:16 (the mercy seat). DISQUALIFICATIONS FOR PRIESTS (Lev. 21:17-24/Num. 3:10/Num. 8) Under the law there were certain characteristics which would disqualify one from
serving as a priest. As we take a look at them, we begin to see their spiritual significance concerning the priesthood today. If we are the children of God, then according to Peter and John, we are a kingdom of priests.
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:" 1 Peter 2:9 "And
hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." Rev. 1:6 The disqualifications were as follows:
- STRANGER – One outside the camp can never be a priest of God. Around the Tabernacles was a white linen fence which represented the righteousness and holiness of God. In order for one to enter, they had to enter
in through the gate (Jesus). How can one be a priest of that which he cannot see? Jesus declared that unless one be born again, he could not see the kingdom of God (John 3:16). One must be one that God
knows, one that He recognizes as a son.
- NOT A LEVITE – One had to be called and set apart for the work of the ministry. All Levites were purified for the ministry of the things of God, but only certain Levites (Aaron and his descendants) were consecrated
(set apart) to be priests of the Lord. Unlike the other tribes of Israel, the Levites didn't own anything and didn't have any natural inheritance. GOD WAS THEIR INHERITANCE. He was their portion. The
Israelites represented those who are outside the house of God, the Levites represented those who were of the household of faith (born again) & those who had entered through the gate, and the Aaronic household
represented those of the High Priest order and the divine government of God. As kings we are seated in the throne, but as priests we are ministering around the throne. These priests are those who bring man to
God and God to man. The High Priest bore a golden crown about their Linen Bonnet showing that they were partakers of His divine nature. It represented an incorruptible crown that would remain always. The
impartation of His divine nature begins a process within us to bring us to maturity as the sons of God, to bring forth in us the expression of Himself. To bring us into the fullness of the stature of Christ. Not in
preeminence, but as the firstfruits of the Firstborn of many brethren. And it is they that worship Him in Spirit and in Truth! They are a people of purpose and a people of purpose.
- BLEMISHES – A lack of repentance in the heart of a priest is unacceptable and reveals weakness in one's character. Blemishes also speak of mixture. When we receive Christ, his nature and life comes and makes its
abode within us. We become the inheritors and partakers of His Divine Nature. But character is not inherited, it has to be developed. Their lives must be yielded to the molding and making of the Holy Spirit
which many times would involve self-denial. Paul wrote to the Church at Galatia and said that he travailed in prayer once again until Christ be formed in them! They were already Christians, but they were carried
away with traditions and yokes of bondage. Their traditions made the word of no effect in their lives. One could not be given over to the carnalities of the mind. The ways of man, nor the ways of the world
cannot be intermingled with the ways of God. The Word (seed) of God is to be pure. Godly character is emanates with the fruit of the Spirit in one's life. It is not tainted with the lust of the flesh, lust
of the eye, or the pride of life.
- BLIND – God declared that without a vision, the people perish. To be spiritually blind means that one cannot see (perceive) what is in the heart of God. Paul wrote to the Ephesians that his prayer was that the
eyes of their understanding would be enlightened. Spiritual vision is only given to the children of God and comes by the Holy Spirit. Man cannot see what God is doing and what He desires without that release
from the Holy Spirit. Not led by the Spirit of God, to be grossly ignorant or have a lack spiritual vision, for without a vision the people perish. No healing, deliverance, etc. Spiritual blindness will lead man
into doctrine, vain imaginations, men's traditions, ignorance, and religious dogma. A priest that is blind, can only lead others into a ditch and spiritual bondage and darkness, for freedom comes only through truth
which is the light of God. One who is a child of God but is in bondage to the laws of man has never had the scales from his eyes removed. That is what happened with Paul. He was of the house of God but
bound in the traditions of his fathers. He said that He was the chief of the Pharisee's and truly he was a religious zealot, but all that He could minister was death. There came a day in Paul's life when he fell into
the depths of his spiritual darkness, and it too Christ to remove the scales from off His eyes. We are being changed from glory to glory, and as we behold Him, we begin to become that which we see. Jesus is the
light of the world and simply coming into contact with that light is the beginning of a journey of 'knowing' and Understanding Him. But we must remember that this is a progressive work, that we do not come to maturity
or full understanding all at once. Continually He is revealing and imparting to us as we walk with Him. If we hunger for truth and understanding, He will absolutely bring us to that place. But we must
desire Him and ALL THAT HE HAS, with all our hearts. We are the children of the Father of lights, but let us always remember that it is He that lights the way. It is He that gives us the eyes with which to
see.
- LAME – When a person is lame, their walk is uneven, unbalanced. There are many that do have the eyes to see and have great understanding concerning the scriptures, but they are unable to walk in what they see and
know. Those that are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. Jesus, our Lord and Savior had to walk out what He knew and it took the leading of the Holy Spirit in order to do it. It was not enough to
know, He had to walk it out. Surely, there was none like Jesus before. No man knew the scriptures as He did. Yet, this man who is the author and finisher of our faith had to be led by the Holy
Spirit. He declared, I only do those things which I see My Father say. His walk was straight and wholesome, it was a walk of power and strength. He walked the Highway of Holiness and He leads all to the
Father. A priest of God who is not lame, will lead man to Jesus. They will walk the walk and not just talk the talk. James said that if we say that we love Him, then we are to walk as He walked.
- FLAT NOSE – One's nose plays a significant role in revealing what is going on around a person. Certain odors will tell us if we are in danger or not, others will tell us that something is good to eat, and others will
tell us if things are sanitary or not. Spiritually speaking, a flat nose is a sign of the lack of sensitivity or discernment. When there is a lack of discernment concerning what is truth and non-truth, one can
easily be deceived. There are too many in the kingdom of God that unable to discern between that which comes out of the realm of the spirit and that which proceeds out of the soul. A true priest of the Lord
knows what is flesh and what is spirit. We must be able to discern the motives and spiritual stands of those around us. Most of all, this discernment is first to be used concerning ourselves. We must know
what the motives of our hearts are. We must want a clean heart, purged with the grace and love of His heart! As we are able to discern ourselves, so we become able to discern those things which seek to come to
deceive and rape the children of God. We cannot go to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil for discernment. It is only the Tree of Life of which we have been made partakers which can keep us from being
deceived.
SUPERFLUOUS – In the Hebrew this word means to be deformed by excess of members:—stretch out self, (have any) superfluous thing. So we see that it is an outward manifestation of something which doesn't
belong there and also that it is something that is not needed. A gourder is an outward growth on one's body and it is ugly and oftentimes hideous in it's appearance and certainly doesn't have any purpose.
Continuously man has added to the Word of God through their doctrines, traditions, creeds, theology, thoughts, likes and dislikes, opinions, etc. So many today know about god and try to minister through that experience,
but unless you KNOW them through relationship, you can never convey to another the life of that person. So it is with the LORD. Israel knew the ACTS of god, but Moses knew His WAYS! It wasn't enough for the
Apostle Paul to know about God, but his heart cried "O THAT I MIGHT KNOW HIM IN THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION"!!! Paul didn't just want Him, he wanted His LIFE! Through his pursuit of Him, Paul was able to give us
the TRUTH AND LIFE of Jesus; not frivolous doctrines that were void of substance and full of empty promises. Invariably when the Holy Spirit is moving, there will usually be someone who will try to add to the situation
through their own actions and words. When flesh gets involved it is just like a big ugly gourder! Many take their experiences in the Lord and form them into doctrines, not understanding that our beliefs are not to
be based on His acts, but rather they are to be based on HIM!!! Do we understand that the ministry of god is LIGHT and LIFE and is all-sufficient in itself. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the
end. In Him consists all things and all things are complete in Him. Many would add even to what was wrought through the work of the Cross! Jesus declared "IT IS FINISHED"!! Everything has been dealt with
in His sacrifice and in the Spirit and the expression of it is now being released in manifestation. A priest MUST be in one mind and one accord with the Spirit of God ministering out of the oneness.
- BROKEN FEET – In order to have a broken foot, one must either walk in the wrong place or step the wrong way. He then becomes unable to run a race, scale mountains or walk normally in a consistent pattern. With
this type of injury, one has to walk in a different way in order to get where He is going. He also has difficulty walking on rough roads or going up and down steps. He becomes unable to keep up with others and
because his heart is full of jealousy and resentment, he will try to do things in order to slow down the progress of others. There is a race to be run in the kingdom of God and there are mountains to be scaled, but
when one has a broken foot the challenge is just too great. There are many ways that this spiritual foot becomes broken. Anytime we deviate from the truth (path) or try to compromise it anyway our walk will be
broken. When this occurs one becomes unfaithful, lacks dependability, and is unstable in all his ways. When mountains present themselves, he is unable to climb. He can sometimes view the finish line, but
can't traverse the track that is before him. Tired and hurt, he will set down and try to get others to set down with him. The book of James tells us that if we say that we love Him, then we ought to walk exactly
as He walked! His walk was straight, and each step that He took was with purpose and direction. He walked as a servant and was faithful in all that He did.
- BROKEN HANDS – In the natural, when a hand is broken, it is unable to protect, feed, groom, or minister to the body; and it is unable to work. The first hand that we need to consider is the Hand of the Lord in the
earth, the five-fold ministry. As long as there is disunity, separation, brokenness, this ministry which God has set in the earth will not be able to minister to the body of Christ the fullness of all that it has need
of. The protection and the cleansing will be lacking. It will be unable to serve without pain and with ease. Continuously they will continue to make compromises trying to function in some form to bring
about the overall purpose of God. On an individual level, many in the body of Christ have been broken and because of this, they are unable to be the servants that God has called them to be. Their ability to
perform their duties in the body of Christ or to their fellow man is hindered because of that brokenness. They are unable to feed, protect, or minister in any form. As a servant, one needs to be able to feed in
order to perpetuate growth. When one's hand is broken it no longer wants to serve, but rather it wants to be served. Many in the church wou\rld today because of their 'calling', now have an attitude that their
position is that to be served, rather than a place of service. This attitude quite clearly speaks of a hand that is broken. Not only ministers do this, but anyone who seeks to be served rather than wanting to
serve, their hand is broken. The Lord's ministry was not only a speaking ministry, it was a touching ministry, a releasing ministry. Touch is one of the primary vehicles that God uses to release and impart His
life into that of another. Jesus would touch them and they would be healed, they would be set free. The Life that was within Him would flow both to and into they that he touched and change their lives
forever. When our hands and our hearts are joined together to serve, the LIFE of God will be released in our midst. There is truly a river of life that is within us, but hands must be whole to release it.
The Lord Jesus humbled Himself, took the form of a servant (Phil. 2:7), washed feet and laid His life down a ransom for many (Mark 10:42-45).
- CROOKED BACK – The spinal cord is that portion of the human anatomy that causes the body to stand up straight and tall. To stand at it's fullest height and potential. It also connects the head to the body and
carries signals back and forth between the body and the head. This area of the body bespeaks to us concerning stability, strength, and uprightness. This type of blemish means that one is unable to carry a load
or handle any kind of pressure. In the book of Luke 10:13-17 we see a woman who was bowed over and couldn't stand up straight. All that she could see was the dust of the ground for she was unable to raise
herself to view the heavens or lift her hands to the heavens in praise. All she could do was look down and see her circumstances rather than looking up and seeing the answer. In Matt. 11:28-30, we find that some
have taken on too many burdens or that their burdens are weighty. A crooked back is also a good sign that one is filled with self-righteousness and pride. They are not quite willing to hand those things over to
the Lord and take on the yoke that is easy and the burden that is light. Many have the inability to discern the amount of weight or burdens that one is to carry, thereby not allowing themselves to be dependent upon
the Holy Spirit to carry the load. Many times one becomes burdened down with false responsibility thereby causing our walk to be unstable and lacking in strength. And finally, if we are not receiving instruction
from our Head (Jesus) our responses will not be in line with the life flow of god. The burdens will become too heavy because we won't know what to do with them.
- DWARF – In real life, when a person does not grow to one's fullest potential, it is because of a lack of distribution of a needed substance to facilitate that growth. There is nothing lacking concerning their minds,
but their body lacks fullness of stature. In the body of Christ today, the difference between a priest of the Lord and a child of God is development and maturity into the deeper things of God. All priests are
the children of God, but not all children of God are priest. We need to be fed the things that are good for us and will facilitate our growth in the proper way concerning the things of the Spirit. There are
always going to be some things that we do not want to eat, however, those things may be the very things that we need. Many people do not like milk, but the calcium will cause their bones to develop properly.
Others don't like spinach, yet the green foods give us the antioxidants that we need to thwart the onslaught of certain diseases. The Word of god tells us in Timothy to study to show ourselves approved, a workman that
needs not to be ashamed rightly dividing the words of truth. Doctrines, traditions, social clubs, projects, etc., will not feed us nor will they bring us to maturity. A priest of the Lord must be fully equipped
for every good work and be a joint of supply to the body, bringing all that it needs to be healthy.
- BLEMISH IN EYE – This is representative of one's ability to see properly and also speaks of one who is a faultfinder. This one has the ability to see, but it is in a limited form. They are not able to see the
entire picture that is before them, therefore their judgment is clouded and distorted and their understanding is lacking concerning both situations before them and the deep things of God. Jesus told us to remove the
plank from our own eye before we try to remove a mote out of anothers. The reason being, that if we have not the eyes to see properly, we are going to THINK we see a mote in our brothers eye when really there may not
be one. But the greatest concern here is that a priest must be able to see clearly into the things of God without any distortion of vision. Paul's prayer in the book of Ephesians was that god would give them the
Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of HIM. That the yes of their understanding would be enlightened that they would know:
1. what was the hope of HIS calling 2. what are the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints 3. the exceeding greatness of HIS power toward us who believe 4.
according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated HIM at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion,
and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
We cannot understand God and His infinite truths with our natural mind or our natural understanding. In Isaiah 55 we read that as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways
and His thoughts than our thoughts. And in 1Corinthians the 2nd
Chapter the Father tells us: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. To have partial vision is to be lacking in understanding and knowledge. We are to know the TRUTH for it is the TRUTH that sets us free. With understanding, we can go on to PERFECTION and understand the full council of HIS Word know what His will is for our lives and HIS purpose and plan for all creation. Let us open our hearts and set our minds to understand and SEE fully with understanding.
- SCURVY – in the natural this is a disease which comes about through a lack of nutrition because ones diet does not have the proper food group included. Mainly that food groups are fruits and vegetables. An
improper diet (erroneous teachings, doctrines, traditions, etc.) will cause scurvy in our spiritual life. It is debilitating, disabling, and is a life of misery. There are many today, even those in the ministry
who are miserable. It is because they are on the wrong diet spiritually! And many, although miserable, JUST WANT TO STAY WHERE THEY ARE!!! This should speak clearly to the body of Christ. They have
many spiritual problems because of a lack of present Truth! Many are wanting the gifts of the Spirit, but few have their focus on the release of the fruit of the Spirit in their lives. This is because of a lack
of LOVE in their lives. God IS love and the firstfruit of the Spirit is love. The other fruits cannot be released in our lives if the love is not there. You cannot have peace without love. You cannot
have joy without love. You cannot be longsuffering without love and the list goes on. Paul told the Corinthians that even if they had all the gifts and did mighty works, if they had not charity (love) they were
nothing more than a SOUNDING brass and a TINKLING symbol. All they would do is make a lot of noise. God's love has been shed abroad in the hearts of the children of god, but one must feed upon HIM in order for
it to grow and have its manifest presence in our lives. A priest without love cannot minister concerning God's divine nature nor His message of mercy.
- SCABBED – Scabs are crusty and hard and speak of a people that have received injury but are still lacking in healing. They haven't been able to let go of their hurts and lofty desires of retribution. Many of
these possess authority in the church today and do the works of the ministry, but they are unable to live out of His life flow which brings healing and removes the scabs. They walk in bitterness, unforgiveness,
jealousy, envy and other destructive emotions. These destructive forces quench our ability to release the life of God and walk according to His precepts, therefore, one will conjure up his own ways of making the
ministry work!! They lack righteous character and integrity. To lack proper covering, to have unhealed wounds which have developed bitterness and unforgiveness. They have not tapped into that new heart
that has been place within them and allowed the life of God to release their newness of life. Underneath all that exterior, there is a hidden power to heal. In our hearts, it is the Christ in us the hope of
glory. Instead of seeking HIM and all that He has to give, many seek their own solutions to their problems and consequently healing does not come. There is a process of ongoing sanctification going on in us and
within that flow and growth is our healing and restoration. Because of a lack of understanding; guilt, condemnation, bitterness and other things come to keep the wound from healing.
- BROKEN STONES - (Male reproductive organs) In the Spirit, this person can function in the office of a priest, but he cannot reproduce the life of God within that ministry for a lack of anointing. One may be able to
produce numbers, but the true life of God is not there and it is not lasting. Paul said that he didn't come with enticing words as man would come, but that he came in the power and demonstration of the Holy
Ghost. A priest that is able to reproduce life, will impregnate the heart of an individual with a seed of life which will reproduce after its own kind. This is the highest principle in the kingdom of god.
Father god is not just interested in birthing the children of God! He wants to produce fully grown mature sons of God. A priest of the Lord must not only be able to impart the life of god, but he must be able to
feed that life and help facilitate its growth. The spirit of the man will only respond to TRUTH and thereby grow. And the soul of the man can only be changed by the TRUTH. Jesus said I am the vine and you
are the branches. As the branches the life of Jesus that flow through us produces fruit and the husbandman is awaiting His harvest. The branch must be in the vine to receive the sap that flows in order to
produce fruit. It is only through being ONE with HIM that we are able to reproduce HIS life! The fig tree looked really good on the outside as the Lord walked up to it to receive of its fruit (life).
But it was barren and without fruit and unable to produce substance for the life of another.
THE LINEN BREECHES ISRAELThe first of the priestly
garments were the Linen Breeches and they were worn in the Tabernacle of the Congregation under the penalty of death. The Breeches were a cunning workmanship made from fine linen (not wool) by the imparted wisdom (Exo. 28:3) of
God. Under the law, a priest was not allowed to sweat for it was a sign of the curse and was a result of man's own labor (flesh). The breeches covered the priests from the waist to the thigh area which speaks of
imputing inward righteousness, holiness, and reproduction. Their purpose was to cover one's nakedness. Israel was known for her sensualness and nakedness. JESUS The Linen Breeches spoke of the Lord Jesus
Christ whose innermost being was pure and holy. His very nature was that completely void of both outward and secret sin. So as the spotless Lamb of God, He came to make new the inward man which in turn would clothe and
eventually make new the flesh (soul) man. "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him". 2Cor. 5:21 In the nakedness of His flesh, He hung from
the cross showing that through he work of the cross, man's nakedness (his vilest and inward sin) would be dealt with. In the removing of His under garment, He became our breeches. "And they crucified him, and parted his
garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.". Matt. 27:35 His life and ministry was that of obedience and denial
to His fleshly passions. Although He was tempted, He only did what the Father told Him. He never pursued His own agenda and all that He did was through obedience. "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own
will; but the will of him that sent me." John 6:38 "Hereafter I will not talk much with you; for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me". John 14:30 "When
ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for
I do always those things that please him." John 8:28-29 "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father
which hath sent me. John 5:30 The plan of the redemption and reconciliation of mankind was a mystery hid in God through the ages. In the beginning God made man and breathed life into him and He became a living
soul. He formed the flesh man before He formed his soul. Now, there was a new man in the earth, born of the Spirit of God through a woman. He was God manifest in the flesh full of grace and truth: "And the Word
was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth". John 1:14 He was the new creation man which would defeat sin in the flesh, and
be glorified of the Father with even His flesh putting on incorruption. The inward man triumphed and thereby initiating a new and living way. He brought forth from himself a new creation man which would be born of His
Spirit. CHURCH Now, there was to be a new man, one born of the Spirit and the new work would begin on the inside of man and would work it's way to the outer man. The incorruptible seed of God has become the
inward man, the hidden man of the heart. We have received our garment of fine white linen and our nakedness is covered. "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich: and white raiment, that
thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear….." Rev. 3:18 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the
kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:5-6 "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with
him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being
raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God." Rom. 6:6-10 "Likewise reckon ye also
yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.." Rom. 6:11 Our walk as a king and priest unto our God begins with the new birth. The linen breeches represent us being 'born
again' on the inside, to be clean in the inward parts. It is within man, the hidden man of the heart where all nakedness lies and through the regeneration, we are made new and cleansed of all unrighteousness. "Therefore if
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" 2Cor. 5:17 Jesus took our nakedness when they parted His garments and he became our covering (Linen Breeches) (Matt.
27:35; Mark 15:24; John 19:23). Repentance will maintain the application of the breeches. God even made provision for sin which could occur after salvation. "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin
not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 1John 1:1-2 LINEN COAT ISRAELAs mentioned before, the Linen
Breeches (Undergarment) are representative of Salvation, and now we come to the Outer Garment which is the Linen Coat which represents Sanctification. The Linen Coat was: A. One piece, seamless, and it
covered entire body (carnality), with the exception of the feet (walk), hands (work), and head (Jesus). B. Fine white linen woven intrinsically with real gold (the nature of God) which created a damask
look C. Had four corners (altar) signifying that the one wearing it belonged to the kingdom of GodThis garment spoke of spiritual integrity, a nature of blamelessness, and an ongoing sanctification which
perfects holiness and righteousness. It spoke of a life set apart and sanctified by God, having the nature of God. They were holy servants of God in the light. (Dan. 12:67; 10:5; Ezek. 9:3; 10:2,7; Matt.
28:3; & Rev. 7:9) JESUS (The Way) Jesus was the pure, spotless Lamb of God. He not only was clothed with holiness, He WAS holiness and He was purity personified.
"But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." 1Peter 1:19 "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself
without spot to god, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Heb. 9:14 He was divine deity/the glory (gold) of the Father (John 1:14 1Tim. 3:16; Rev. 21:23) Seamless - No beginning and no
endingJesus is the linen coat for the body of Christ, our on-going sanctification and justification. a. covering: "John 1:29 - Lamb that taketh away the sins
b. garment: Matt. 9:21 - Woman & the hem of His garment "But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and
sanctification, and redemption." 1Cor. 1:30 CHURCH We are to be so covered with the Linen Coat (Jesus) that only the HEAD (Jesus) is to be visible along with the hands (work) and feet (walk) which
testify of His leadership and guidance. If we are being led of Him and obedient, we will not sweat in our labors and everything will flow from the rest of God. "I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my
soul shall be joyful to my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her
jewels. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations".
Isaiah 61:10-11 We are clothed in linen garments. White (His holiness & purity). Jesus has made us to be partakers of His holiness and has imputed unto us His righteousness, made up to be pure.
The word partakers in the New Testament is metalambano which means to take in or receive until one becomes like what it is taking in! We have already been made more than conquerors (we are overcomers) through Him who loved us
(Rom. 8:37) "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." Rev. 3:5
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2Cor. 5:21 "Who gave himself for us, that he might
redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Titus 2:14 "For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root be holy, so also are
the branches." Rom. 11:16 "…..that he might be the father of all them that believe, through they be not circumcised; that righteous-ness might be imputed unto them also." Rom.
4:11 "And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was unputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him
that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences and was raised again for our justifi-cation." Rom.4:22-24 Not only are we covered with His righteousness, but we are clothed
with Gold (His nature and Deity). The glory of God is upon us and within us. No man can ever TAKE the Lord's glory, but in John 17 He chose to give it to us! Praise the Lord! "And the glory
which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: "I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and
hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. John 17:22-23 "Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified,
them he also glorified. Romans 8:30 THE ROBE OF THE EPHOD ISRAELThe Robe of the Ephod was solid blue in color. The bottom of the robe came about to the middle of the calf of the leg and the sleeves came halfway between the elbow and
the wrist. This garment also was one piece, did not have any seams. It was unrendable and was trimmed with bells and pomegranates at the hemline. This Robe of the Ephod (blue-grace) was worn over the Linen Coat
(white-law). As the law was the first to come, so the Linen Coat was the first to be put on. Just as the Robe of the Ephod was put on over the Linen Coat, so grace came and covered the law. Blue also represents the
baptism of the Holy Spirit and white also represents salvation. Therefore we see again the testimony of the order of things and what would be. Salvation first, then the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Blue spoke of:
A. Heavenly origin, character of office; B. Divinity/indicating spiritual integrity & fullness; C. Grace/Kingly (reigning) grace demanding respect and dignity
Couldn't enter into the Holy of Holies without this garment (Holy Spirit baptism) Note: Blue lace: A. secured the crown to the Priests' head B. secured the Breastplate to the Ephod
B. blue was always over white When traveling, blue abounded....every piece and utensil of the tabernacle was covered with blue cloth Special note of interest: It is interesting that the sky was created blue which covers
the whole earth. Compare the Holy Spirits covering work in the earth. JESUS (The Truth) Although priests are gracious, CHRIST IS GRACE!!!! LAW WAS GIVEN BY MOSES - John 1:17 - BUT GRACE CAME BY JESUS! He was of
heavenly origin and God in the flesh. "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into
glory. Timothy I 3:16 The person and ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ is has neither beginning nor ending, proved to be unrendable. One may look for an eternity and still will not find where it begins. They
tried to strip Jesus of His divinity, but they could not. "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Rev. 1:8 The relationship of Jesus
with the Father was that of being ONE! He was the exact representation of the Father in the earth. The Father was with Him everywhere that He went and was with Jesus in all that He did. Through the person of
Jesus, man could know the Father once again. Could look upon Him once again. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have
known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known
me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the
Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. John 14:6-10 Jesus came not to do His own will. What He came to do was purposed in the heart of the Father before the foundation of the world. They had unity of
purpose and the full expression of that purpose. "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should
lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last
day. John 6:38-40 Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the works and the will of the Father. He was "Anointed to destroy the works of the devil. Acts 10:38, and he had the Spirit without measure. "For he
whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. John 3:34 "And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit
into the wilderness, Luke 4:1 "And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. "The Spirit
of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them
that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Luke 4:14, 18-19 Jesus was the one who came that would baptize with the Holy Spirit (blue) and with fire. He poured His Spirit out upon all flesh on the Day
of Pentecost. As with the Son, so it is with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit cannot be ripped, rent or torn apart nor can His work be torn asunder. "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh
after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Matthew 3:11 "And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with
water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. John 1:33 The Holy Spirit bore witness with Jesus. He was the one
sent along side to help and the one who would quicken His mortal body from the grave. The Holy Spirit was the seal of His ministry. "This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water
and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear
witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. John 15:6-8 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to
God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1Peter 3:18 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1Timothy 3:16 Jesus came as a man, and it was through the Holy Spirit that Jesus was able to offer himself to the Father as the
supreme sacrifice. It was through the ministry of the Holy Spirit that he was offered without spot and able to keep himself from sin. "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself
without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:14 CHURCH As the church, we have received the promise of the Holy Spirit. This heavenly gift has been given
to seal us, empower us, and anoint us. The covering of the Holy Spirit separates us from the world and seals that which has been done through the work of the cross in our lives. Not only is the Holy Spirit a sealing,
but He is a witness of our covenant and our position in Christ Jesus as the sons of God. It is the Holy Spirit that changes us from glory to glory.. "That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus
Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:14 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also
after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13 "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Romans 8:16 Because we
are born of the Spirit of God, we have a heavenly origin. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6 (2Cor. 5:17) We are to be baptized (covered & filled) with
the Holy Spirit, "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Eph. 5:18. Just as the Ephod is trimmed with bells and pomegranates, so we too are to abound in the gifts and fruits of the Holy
Spirit. (1Cor. 12 & Gal. 5:22-25). Jesus is our Holy Spirit baptizer! "And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:3-4 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons
and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: Acts
2:17-18 Jesus has baptized us with the Holy Spirit to empower us unto good works and the fire of His Spirit is with us to continually purge us and change us from glory to glory. The Holy Spirit has come and will walk with
us all of our days. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 "But we all, with open face
beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2Corinthians 3:18 "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:17 He has brought liberated us from the law by the fulfillment of its demands and covered us
with His grace. We the firstfruits of the Spirit and as the children of liberty, we can now walk by the leading of the Holy Spirit, who will lead and guide us into all truth. "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and
where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2Corinthians
3:17-18 "But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Romans 6:7 Even the deep
things of God are available to us and we can know them. We have the Holy Spirit to be our teacher and our guide. He is the revealer of all truth and the witness of the Godhead. "But God hath revealed them unto us by his
Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1Corinthians 2:10 "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you:
but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1John 2:27 One of the greatest ministries and purpose of the Holy Spirit is to bring
unity to our hearts. Just as the Godhead is one, so we too are to be one. It is not within the power of the natural man to come into unity, but the Holy Spirit works to bring us to that place. We are to be of one
Spirit and one faith. "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 1Corinthians 6:17 "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One
Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:4-6
BELLS & POMEGRANATES ISRAELThe hem of the Robe of the Ephod was trimmed with 12 bells and pomegranates. They were
alternated in their placement to bring forth a harmonious sound. The number 12 speaks of the establishment of divine government. The bells represented the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the pomegranates
represented the fruit of the Holy Spirit. - the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Although there are only nine gifts and nine fruits of the Holy Spirit, it is only through their simultaneous operation that the divine
government of God releases harmony and peace in the nation. Harmony/Bells rang forth the gospel of peace and the fruit (Word/Deed) bore witness to it's truth (testimony). Divine law is a sweet delicious spiritual food -
Psa. 19:8-11; Psa. 119:25, 43, & 50. Aaron had to move for the bells to ring and the only day of which they were not worn was the day of Atonement. These manifestations (gifts & fruits) come to their fullest
expression following atonement. JESUS It is interesting to note that the Robe of the Ephod represents the Holy Spirit and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The bells and pomegranates are on the hem of this Robe
to testify concerning the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Jesus had more than the gifts and fruit of the Spirit. He was love personified. God is Love! Love is the firstfruit of the Spirit and it is out of
love that the other eight come forth. You can't have joy without love, or peace without love, etc. Because Jesus didn't have any sin in his life, he walked in the seven Spirits of God rather than the gifts of the Holy
Spirit. The Holy Spirit is given without measure, but the manifestation of this wonderful gift is released in proportion to the fruit of the Holy Spirit. "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a
Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;" Isaiah 11:1-2 As the priest of the Lord, the government of God was upon the shoulders of Jesus. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to
establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." Isaiah 9:6-7 Read Isaiah 35: Highway to Holiness & Healing Jesus had
perfect speech: "The officers answered, Never man spake like this man." John 7:46 and the fruit of His words were his deeds: "And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the
deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak." Mark 7:37 He is the King of Peace (Pomegranate) and He is the Word (Bells). CHURCH As the children of God, we are to carry the gospel of peace and hope. Our
daily lives are to be filled with the fruit of the Spirit and operative in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Paul admonished us that we were to walk always in love and that all of our work for the Lord would be as nothing if we
did not have love. "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing." 1Cor. 13:1-2. Paul wrote to the Corinthian church concerning the gifts of
the Holy Spirit. Throughout the various writings of Paul, we find that the Holy Spirit was prominent in the role of ministry. Paul let us know through his writings that the Holy Spirit was not just for the early church,
but for the entire body of Christ. "Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which
worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same
Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is
Christ." 1Corinthians 12:4-12 Note the following scriptures: James 3:18 "And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."
Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
Proverbs 11:30 "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." Matt. 7:16-20 "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather
grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth
good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Colossians 1:10 "That ye
might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;" THE EPHOD ISRAELThe Ephod could only be worn by the High Priest of the Lord God. It signified the authority, power, and anointing that God
had placed upon the one who wore it. It was also seamless, however it was of two pieces (front & back) and it was sleeveless. It was a cunning work and was made of Gold (real), Blue, Purple, Scarlet, and fine
linen.GOLD...the gold that was used was that of real gold. Signifying the reality of God. It speaks of the nature of God, His deity, and His glory. Pure gold comes as a result of fire, and God is a consuming fire,
therefore His nature cannot be altered nor affected. The nature of gold cannot be altered by the air, nor can it be altered if it is buried in the ground. It signified a substance that is changeless and a purified state
which cannot be altered. It also bespeaks of a God kind of faith.BLUE...this color always speaks of Grace, Divinity, and Anointing. Gold and Blue intertwined together reveals the unification of Deity and Divinity.
Blue also bespeaks of INFINITE GRACE!!! Something that is without ending. When we look to the heavens, we see them spread with blue and we cannot see where they begin, nor where they end. As we behold the sunset
in the evening time, we see the handiwork of God subtlety revealing the unity of Gold (His Nature & Deity) and Blue (His Divinity & Grace).SCARLET...is the color which signifies the man/Adam of the earth. It bespeaks
of man and the earth being as one, for man came from the dust of the ground. Scarlet is also a declaration of the love of God which brought forth the eternal sacrifice of blood which would unite God and man once again.
PURPLE...is a blending of the colors of blue (divinity) and red (man) and spoke of God and man coming together once again. It was the color which denoted Kingship, Royalty, and Redemption. WHITE…always represents
holiness, purity, and righteousness and represented how the one wearing it stood before the Lord. It spoke of the work that was coming and was to come through the ministry. The Robe of the Ephod was made the same way as the
Veil in the Tabernacle which was unrendable. All of the colors were interwoven together, yet each color was very apparent. This garment verified the authority and anointing of the one which wore it. As the
priest would turn one way, it would be solid blue; another way, it was solid red; another, it was solid purple, another it would be solid gold; and another way it was white. As the sun would reach the high noon and be
directly overhead, this ephod would illuminate all of the colors in it at once and it truly was a garment of glory and of beauty. This garment was only worn by the High Priest and spoke of the Most Holy Place which
could only be entered by the High Priest. It represented both judgment and resurrection. It was the first of four pieces (cross) of the vesture (outer garment) and spoke of a gathering together (culmination) of all
things. This outer vesture consisted of: The Ephod, The Breastplate, The Shoulder Stone & The Curious Girdle. It was worn over the Robe of the Ephod. The EPHOD was worn by Aaron (Priest), Samuel (Prophet), and David
(King). (Exodus 28; 1 Samuel 2:18; 2 Samuel 6:14).It bespeaks that Eph. 4:12 is being restored! Fulfilled! in the Church!(See below) JESUS (The Life) In the Lord Jesus Christ was the culmination of all
things and full representation of God and man. In Jesus, Gold(Deity) and Blue (Grace/Divinity) came together in one man and the Red (Blood/Love) was poured out upon the earth bringing man out of his fallen state redeeming Purple
(Redemption/Royalty) him back to God thereby imputing White (Righteousness/Holiness/Purity) to him. "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which
none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which
God hath prepared for them that love him. 1Corintians 2:7-9 Although Jesus was God manifest in the flesh, he humbled himself and became a man and came to serve and not be served. He established the true role of
ministry and walked in the King/Priest anointing. "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in
the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Phillipians 2:6-11 As the Great High Priest of the Lord, Jesus took his own blood and presented it to the Father and sprinkled the mercyseat ONCE for ALL! Never again was there to be another sacrifice. He
has obtained a more excellent ministry and is the mediator of a new covenant forever sealed by His blood and Spirit. "For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into
heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the
foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Hebrews 9:24-26 "(For those priests were made without an oath;
but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) Hebrews 7:21 GOLD: Jesus was fully vested with the nature of
God He was God in the flesh! "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2Corinthians 5:19
BLUE: He was grace personified and it is through Him that we are saved! He was anointed to destroy the works of the devil. "And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses,
but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. John 1:16-17 "Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy
fellows. Hebrews 1:9 "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with
him. Acts 10:38 SCARLET: He was a man full of love and compassion for all who were under sin and was their eternal sacrifice. In Psalms 22:6, he describes himself as a worm! This word worm is
'lowla'. In the nation of Israel, the blood of the Lowla worm was used to dye fabric and used in cosmetics. The blood was scarlet in color and once applied to something, it would not come off. It permanently
changed the original state of whatever it touched. "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1John 2:2 PURPLE: The Redeemer and mediator of all mankind. Royalty and redemption was wrought in the bringing together of divinity (blue) and man (red). "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and
men, the man Christ Jesus; Timothy I 2:5 "But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. Hebrews
8:6 "And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive
the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:15 "These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are
called, and chosen, and faithful. Revelation 17:14 "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Hebrews 1:8 WHITE: Jesus was holy, righteous, and pure. He was the spotless lamb of God. "But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1Corinthians 1:30 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 1John 2:1
"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29 "But with the precious blood of
Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1Peter 1:19 CHURCH Jesus is our Great High Priest and we are now kings and priests unto our God. Because the veil of temple has been
rent, we can now go into the Holy of Holies and proceed to the throne of grace. Jesus is not only our Ephod, but He has clothed us with the Ephod, giving us full authority before the throne. REDEMPTION: We are now
back in fellowship with God, The divine (BLUE) touched the sin (SCARLET) and brought forth the redemption (PURPLE). Our garments are now fine linen (WHITE) which has the Godhead/Divine Nature (GOLD) intertwined with the fabric.
Rev. 7:14Jesus is our Great High Priest (Heb. 4;15-16) who is interceding for us and was tempted in all points even as we are. (Heb. 2:18) Jesus, our mediator, was one with the Father (Gold). Jesus (Blue) the eternal Godman,
has commissioned us as the redeemed (Purple) to mediate between the gospel and the world (Scarlet) as seen in Mark 16:14-20; Matt. 28:16-20; & Luke 24:44-53Just as the Ephod was two pieces and yet one, so we are one with Him.
(See John 17)We are to walk in:FINE LINEN........Purity, Righteousness, & Holiness with: "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2Corinthians
5:21 "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:24 "And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And
he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 7:14
"For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Hebrews 10:14 GOLD...............Sonship, Wisdom, Faith Tested by Fire "I counsel thee to
buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Revelation 3:18 "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the
appearing of Jesus Christ: 1Peter 1:7 BLUE................Grace, Anointing of the Holy Spirit "Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 2Corinthians 1:21
PURPLE...........Authority, Prayer, Kingship, Royalty "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness
into his marvellous light: 1Peter 2:9 "And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:6
SCARLET.........Love, Blood (Cleansing) "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1John 1:7
"But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 1John 2:5 "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: Ephesians 4:12-13 The Linen Breeches, Linen Coat, and the Robe of the Ephod were put on before the Ephod couldbe put on. In the restoration of the Church and the foundational principles of Hebrews 6:1-2. The Linen Coat was put
back on with Martin Luther (repentance and faith). Then came the Robe of the Ephod with John Wesley & others (baptisms and laying on of hands). The Ephod is 1950 to the present time (resurrection & judgment).
THE CURIOUS GIRDLE ISRAELThe Curious Girdle was a
sign of priestly service and was only worn by the High Priest. It had the same colors as the Ephod and the veils of the Tabernacle. The colors were linen, blue, purple, scarlet, gold. This item of clothing
symbolized that the one wearing the garment was an office bearer/administrator in the kingdom of God. Consider the following: A.It was neither loose nor attached and was one with the Ephod and its attachments of the
Shoulder Stones and the Breastplate. B.It was inseparably bound with the Priest and bound the Priest and the robe together. C.It bound the one wearing it so closely to the colors in the Ephod, that the characteristics of those
colors were imparted to him. D.It was a sign of strength of service and indicative of one being bound or bond slave of ministry. Note: The girdles of Aaron's sons were linen Aaron's inner girdle was linen with three colors JESUS The Curious Girdle also typified another characteristic of Christ. That is the character of His covenant with His Father and humanity. He truly was a bond slave to His purpose and calling and He
was the ultimate servant and yet equal with God. "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God; But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness
of men; And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name; That at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Phil.
2:6-11. "Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." Matthew 20:28 "For whether is
greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth." Luke 22:27 In the washing of the disciples feet, He girded Himself and
symbolically brought them to the Brazen Laver in the Tabernacle to wash them clean for the service of God "He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth
water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded." John 13:4-5 Isaiah 11:5 tells us that Righteousness was the belt of His loins and Truth
was the belt of His waist. So we see in this, that God has a servant's heart, and through love and demonstration, Jesus set forth the pattern for the New Testament priests. The colors of the girdle INTERTWINED also helps us
to see that it was the representation of the FULLNESS of God and man as ONE! These colors testified of His character, His Majesty, and all that He was and the work which would take place in us.
GOLD HIS DEITY FAITH
SCARLET HIS HUMANITY LOVE
BLUE HIS DIVINITY GRACE
PURPLE HIS MEDIATORSHIP REDEMPTION
LINEN HIS RIGHT STANDING PURITY
CHURCH As we look at the colors we begin to understand that we are to be an expression and representation of Him in the earth. Many in the church today are seeking to be served and not to serve, but as we
look at His characteristics, we see what we shall be. If we are to declare to a world a real gospel, then we must consider the following scriptures: "But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among
you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many".
Mark 10:43-45 "But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of god perfected: hereby know we that we are in him: He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he
walked." 1John 2:5-6 As a kingdom of priests, we are to gird our waist with truth and be strong according to Ephesians 6:14. And Peter told us to gird up the loins of our minds in 1Peter 1:13. We are priests and
partakers of the heavenly calling Col. 1:12-14 and Col. 2:9. THE LINEN BONNET ISRAELThe Linen Bonnet was white and haped like the calyx of a flower. As a head covering, it denoted reverence, subjection, holiness and the recognition of the love
and majesty of God. It was only worn by the High Priest and he was forbidden to take it off. It was even tied on the head to prevent it from falling off. It
was also symbolic of the natural mind of man being clothed with the mind of God. A mind which had Godly wisdom, maturity, and understanding. It bespeaks of the renew or regenerated mind that has been given over to the
mind of God. The salvation of the soul (psuche) of man. JESUSThe life of Jesus was that of total submission and obedience.
The Garden of Gethsemene was the place of consecration of the mind and will of Jesus Christ. The crucifixion was nigh at hand, but there was also a crucifixion which took place in His time of prayer in the garden. It
was here, that He had to lay down his own will and take upon Himself the will of the Father. He had to literally die to His own will and emotions. "Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not
my will, but thine, be done. Luke 22:42 "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which
hath sent me. John 5:30 After His struggle in the garden, Jesus was taken captive and at the time of the crucifixion, a crown of thorns was placed upon His head. Hence, the shedding of blood for the
cleansing and salvation of our soulish minds. "And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the
Jews!" Matthew 27:29 It was in His humiliation that it was made possible for us to have a sound mind. CHURCH: As stated, the blood was shed through the crown of thorns that our soulish minds
be cleansed of all unrighteousness. "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Hebrews
9:14 "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" Phillipians 2:5 "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."
1Corinthians 2:16 We are to renew our minds through the work and word of the Lord. It is through the renewed mind that we are able to put on the new man. That we are able to understand and have wisdom concerning our
place in Him. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:1-2 "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that
ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:23-24 "And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence
toward God, and toward men. Acts 2 THE CROWN ISRAELHeaddress/Diadem "And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre." Exo. 29:6 "And he put the mitre upon his
head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses." Leviticus 8:9 The words: HOLINESS TO JEHOVAH was inscribed on the golden crown and it was
secured to the linen bonnet (mitre) and head of the Priest by a ribband of blue (grace). It was only worn by the High Priest and represented him as the supreme spiritual head of the priesthood which was consecrated to
Jehovah. The priest had the power to bear the sins of the people and bring gifts before the Lord in consequence of their impurity, thereby instituting a deliverance from the design of the enemy. "And he saved them
from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy." Psm. 106:10 The crown imparted honor and responsibility to the one who wore it. Gold was for the nature of God and the white bonnet
upon which it rested represented righteousness and holiness. The Crown was the last of the articles of the garments to be placed upon the High Priest representing an ending (a finishing). Both resting upon the head of
the High Priest indicated that his will, emotions and intellect (soul) was purged, cleansed and made holy; and the nature of God enthroned (sealed). JESUS Before the foundation of the world the eternal plan of God
had been set in motion and sealed forever in His heart. The Word (Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among men and began to pursue the mission that was set before Him. Heaven and earth came together as one in the Son of
Man. "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the
earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:7-11 "Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him
with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see
not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." Heb. 2:7-9 Obediently, Jesus had come and fulfilled His commission and wrought a complete and finished work concerning the redemption and reconciliation of men back unto God. His declaration in Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou
be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done was the total surrender of the will and mind of Jesus to that of His Father. Man sought to crown His humiliation with a crown of thrones, but
the Father highly exalted Him and gave to Him a crown that declared Him to be King of kings and Lord of lords. Man crown Him with a crown of thorns, but His Father crowned Him as King of kings and Lord of lords (1Timothy 6:15
& Rev. 17:14). In addition He was given a name to with every knee would bow and every tongue would confess that He was Lord to the glory of the Father. And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one
sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. Rev. 14:14 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man
knew, but he himself. Revelation 19:12 Jesus is now our everlasting and eternal Great High Priest (Heb. 2:17; 3:1; 4:14,15; 5:10; 7:26; 8:1; 8:3; 9:11; 10:21) and He has sprinkled His own eternally sealing blood
upon the mercy seat forever sealing and fulfilling the law. Today He is seated at His Father's right hand and His ministry continues on our behalf. (Eph. 1:20; Heb 1:3, 13; 8:1; 10:12; 12:2; 1Pet. 3:22)
CHURCH As the body of Christ, we the church are called to walk circumspectly, obediently, and surrendered to the will of God our Father. Just as in the natural children are to obey their parents, so it is in the
spiritual relationships as well. However, we are not to remain children, but rather we are to become mature sons acknowledging Him in all our ways. Those who are children are easily tossed to and fro by every wind of
doctrine (Eph. 4:18) and often times walk according to the dictates of their own hearts. Having been found to be in disobedience, children then begin to try to earn back the favor of their parents through their works.
The mature in heart understand the scripture that tells us that obedience is better than sacrifice (1Sam. 15:22). As the children of God, we are to seek the Father's will and set our own aside (2 Cor.10:5-6;2; Cor.
2:9-11). Often times however, man listens to the dictates of his own heart and follows after his own will. His war is in the mind where strongholds are set up and his thoughts exalt themselves and seek their own
way. Truly our battle is truly a 'war of wills': "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when
your obedience is fulfilled". 2Cor. 10:3-6 The will of man is strong and in our submission to the will of God, we will find that we are able to resist the devil and he will flee from us (James 4:7). Those that
seek Him with their whole heart are as the runners of a race who seek the final reward. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Timothy II 4:7-8 Our crown is imperishable (1Cor. 9:25), glorious
(1Peter 5:4), life (James 1:12) and we have been made kings and priests unto our God (Rev. 1:6). Our Father in His omnipotence has made us the 'righteousness of God in Christ (2Cor. 5:21; Phil. 3:9) placing all things beneath
the feet of the Church with Christ as her head (Eph. 1:22-23). He has made a way for us and in Him we can walk the walk He walked and be partakers of His nature. His will being enshrined and enthroned in our minds, the very
nature of God established and forever sealed within, ONE WITH HIM! It is important to read Galatians Chapter 3 & Chapter 4. |
